Welcome back to Day 2 of exploring Barcelona in 48 hours. If you haven't checked out Day 1, click here to have a look at it.
Day 2
9AM: Breakfast
If you're looking for the most Instagramable restaurant in Barcelona, Brunch & Cake is definitely the one. This is the reason why we're starting off Day 2 by visiting their branch near Barceloneta beach. I was quite basic and ordered the avo toast 2 ways with a fresh fruit salad which was delicious but they have a ton of other more exciting options as well. So fuel up because you have a long day ahead of you.

10:30PM: Biking at Barceloneta
One of my highlights from my trip to Barcelona was biking across Barceloneta. If the weather is nice, I'd highly suggest renting a bike and enjoying the Barceloneta boardwalk.
Tip 1: If you're there during the summer time, make sure to put sunscreen on in order to avoid getting burnt (speaking from personal experience...).

12PM: Gothic Quarter
Barri Gothic is one of Barcelona's most famous neighborhoods. It is filled with history, stunning architecture and narrow streets. It's like diving into medieval Barcelona. Just wander around the area and get lost.

While you're in the area, make sure not to miss Happy Pills - a candy lover's paradise (i.e. everyone's paradise).

3PM: La Rambla & La Boqueria
After exploring the Gothic quarter, head towards the city centre. La Rambla is probably the most famous street in Barcelona, it connects their main square (Plaça Catalunya) with the beach. If I could only recommend visiting one place in Barcelona it would 100% be the La Boqueria market - a food paradise. I visited it twice and absolutely adored it. While you're there grab a quick lunch - I loved the Jamon Iberico sandwiches!
Tip 2: The market is closed on Sundays, so make sure to visit it on another day!

6PM: Beach & Passeig de Colom
When you reach the end of La Rambla, you'll find the beach. Have a nice stroll there - you can find the Barcelona Aquarium in this area. Walk at Passeig de Colom and enjoy the sunset.

8PM: Burger Time
I couldn't finish this post without mentioning my favorite burger place - Bacoa Burgers. The burger patties were cooked to perfection - juicy and a tad bit red on the inside. I know that most people wouldn't think of heading to a burger place when they only have 2 days in Barcelona but I cannot stress enough how much I loved this place - it was budget friendly as well!
